Here is what to expect as you prepare to attend the ANTIQUES APPRAISAL SHOW video-recording event. 8 Easy StepsStep 1: Arrival On July 13th when you arrive take your antique treasures over to the giant awning on the west side of The Farmers Market. Head inside and follow The Antiques Appraisal Show signs that are posted. ** Your item(s) must fit through a standard door. You must also be able to transport the item(s) to and from the event, as well as carry them throughout the event. Carts or dollies will not be provided. A collection of very closely related items (e.g., a tea set) may be considered one item. No firearms will be permitted. Step 2: Sign a Release Form*** You’ll begin at the ticket booth where you’ll be asked to sign a release form granting The Antiques Appraisal Show and it’s host Iron Core Entertainment the rights to film you. If you refuse to sign the release form you will not be allowed to participate in The Antiques Appraisal Show. Step 3: Ticket Purchase At the ticket booth purchase a ticket for each antique you would like appraised. It costs $10.00 per antique. There is no limit to the number of antiques you can get appraised. You will receive a ticket for each antique you purchase an appraisal for. Do not lose your ticket. Step 4: Standing in Line Please wear comfortable shoes, as you will be standing on concrete floors. If you or your guests have difficulty standing for long periods of time, please bring a small, lightweight, and portable chair or wheelchair. While you wait to enter the film production area, you’ll enjoy chatting with fellow guests, see their unique items, and take in the sights and sounds of The Farmers Market. But be sure keep your eyes peeled, the host of The Antiques Appraisal Show will be walking around looking for you to share your antique story on camera. Step 5: Show Us Your Items When you reach the front of the line you’ll hand your ticket(s) to the appraiser. There you’ll learn the history and value of your special antique. Step 6: TV Segment? If the appraiser thinks your treasure would make an exciting TV segment, he or she will call for the film crew and your appraisal will be filmed on camera. Step 7: Thank You... And Thanks to The Farmers Market and Appraisers Once you've received your appraisal(s), stop at the “Thank You” table to pickup information on how to purchase your video copy of The Antiques Appraisal Show, information on the Appraisers, and more upcoming events at The Farmers Market. Step 8: Explore the Market Before leaving The Farmers Market take your time to explore the flea market, see the interesting antiques the vendors have available, and visit the concession stands for a cool beverage or a tasty snack. |
